I. Program Coordinator

Job Description: As a Program Coordinator, you will oversee and manage our care programs, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. Your responsibilities will include coordinating with staff, developing program plans, and monitoring program effectiveness. Strong organizational and leadership skills are essential for this role./p>

Office Hours: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (Monday-Friday) with an hour lunch break

Supervisor: Program Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree with major specialization in social, behavioral, or human services or related field; high school diploma with a minimum of two years full-time work experience in social, behavioral, or human services or related work; or license by the State of Texas as an LVN or RN with one-year experience in human services. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

II. 1:1 Direct Support Professional

Job Description: Currently, we are looking for an experienced staff member to fill the role of Direct Support Professional to provide one-to-one care. The right candidate will be responsible for providing compassionate care and assistance to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities. If you have prior experience working with developmentally disabled adults in a direct care role, we encourage you to apply for this position.

Shifts Available are: Monday through Friday from 3 pm to 8 pm

Pay: From $10.00 per hour

Job Description:

This position provides the basic daily care that is required by the individual. It assists the individual in attaining and maintaining maximum functional independence. It supports and promotes the rights of individuals and functions effectively as a member of the Service Planning Team. The position functions as a participant of the Service Planning Team as requested by the individual, legally authorized representative (LAR), or local authority (LIDDA).

  1. Providing personal assistance based on the needs of the individual as follows: dressing, bathing, tooth brushing, toileting, shaving, hair washing, nail care, social interaction, community integration, reinforcement of counseling and therapies, housekeeping, shopping, laundry, monitoring weight, height, and vital signs, medication monitoring, feeding, food preparation, and money management.
  2. Documentation: Service Delivery Logs and Progress Notes, Monitoring Sheets, Behavior Data Collection Sheets, Medication Administration Records, and Program Training Sheets.
  3. Adherence to Universal Precautions and Blood Borne Pathogen Standards.
  4. Follow Safety Guidelines
  5. Participation in staff meetings and in-service-training.
  6. Emergency Evacuation Drills.
  7. Respond to emergency needs of individuals including performing CPR, First Aid and using Approved Behavior Management Techniques as needed.

TASKS THAT REQUIRE EQUIPMENT/ TOOLS AND KNOWLEDGE OF THEIR SAFE USE:

  1. Measuring vital signs.
  2. Weighing individuals using a floor scale.
  3. Preparing meals using pots, pans, tableware, utensils, a can opener, a stove, an oven, a toaster, a food processor, a dishwasher, and a microwave.
  4. Driving, using an automobile
  5. Recreational activities.

SKILLS/ ABILITIES:

  1. Ability to articulate clearly.
  2. Must be reliable to communicate (speak, read, and write) in English.
  3. Must be reliable in attendance and timeliness to work schedules.
  4. Hearing and vision correctable to normal ranges.
  5. Organizational skills.
  6. Ability to use body mechanics in controlling unpredictable behavior.
  7. Ability to participate in physical activities.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Lifting and carrying 40-80 lbs.
  2. Pushing wheelchairs of individuals whose total weight may exceed 200 lbs.
  3. Operating manual cranks and/ or lifts.
  4. Bending, squatting, stooping, and reaching to respond to the personal care needs of individuals.

License/Certification:

III. Residential Direct Care Professional

Job Description: Currently, we are looking for an experienced staff to fill the role of Direct Support Professional. The shift available in the residential homes

Weekday Shifts

  • Monday 4 PM to Friday 8 AM (Overnight)
  • Monday 6 PM to Friday 6 AM (Overnight)
  • Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 6 PM (Day Shift)

Weekend Shifts

  • Friday 4 PM to Monday 8 AM (Overnight)
  • Friday 6 AM to Monday 6 AM (Overnight)

GUARANTEED OVERTIME IN ALL POSITIONS!!!

  • Assist individuals in attaining and maintaining independent living to support their life plans. Support and promote the rights of the individual and function as a participant in the community.
  • Assists the program in the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the assigned home of adults with developmental and physical disabilities, autism, and those individuals who have other diagnoses.
  • Performs a variety of tasks that range from helping an individual to complete his/her individual goals, ADL, which include toileting, preparing meals, bathing, medications, and supervision.
  • Ensure proper documentation on the goals and objectives, social development, vocational, physical health, and behaviors of the individual desired outcomes and if applicable, their Behavior Management Plan noting progress/lack of progress in all areas.
  • Maintain an accurate and complete individual record, and prepare reports on individuals and activities, as required by law.
  • Aid with hygiene issues such as toileting and changing diapers is required in order to help care for individuals as needed.
  • Lifting might also be required in order to assist individuals who need positioning or to transfer in and out of a wheelchair.
  • Assists with light cleaning and housework.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including preparing meals and assisting with personal hygiene
  • Develop a rapport with residents and cultivate a safe and supportive relationship
  • Staff must have their own vehicle as transportation of individuals is a REQUIREMENT.

Floater PRN positions are available as well.
